Naja Conrad-Hansen has been working as a fulltime illustrator since 2003 when she graduated from Denmark’s Design School, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Her practice embraces illustration, painting, graphic/print design and art direction.
Her frantic choice of eras, subject matters and styles is governed by her passion for mapping the poetic focus. Styles and decades matter only at the moment of choosing and depicting images. Either a phrase, short story, novel, sketch or an elaborate major composition, her works always reflect hundred percent immediate presence and an equal amount of letting go.
Conrad-Hansen has been nominated and selected for “200 Best Illustrators Worldwide” by Lürzer’s archive four times in a row, the latest being “200 Best Illustrators Worldwide” 2014/2015.
She has worked with a wide range of clients such as Adidas, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Target, Aalborg Akvavit, Elle, Hallhuber, Bestseller, Leagas Delaney, Publicis, Ogilvy, Kellogg´s Special K, Max Mara, Fiorucci, Hugo Boss Black and Visa Japan.
